Introduction

These mysterious creatures of the night caused a stir in international garage-rock circles with their self-released, home-recorded vinyl-only debut LP "Blackout" (now released by In The Red). Featuring former members of the Action Time and the Hotwires, Black Time indulge their love for underground LA punk legends Crime and obscure, mostly forgotten DIY punk 45s, mixed in with the Cramps and early Fall. A furious mix of lo-fi garage-punk snarl and white heat noise; punk bible Maximum Rock’n’Roll described it as "The true revelation of this month's batch of new releases. I haven't been able to keep it off my turntable! It blew me away - imagine the best Makers material mixed with The Hunches’ brand of noise and disdain." The editor of Terminal Boredom summed it up: "Dangerhouse/LA punk + Pussy Galore/NYC noise/trash x (SF budget rock aesthetic) / British DIY = best album of 2004". They've done a series of low-key shows in murky london basements leading up to a European tour in support of singles coming out on French, German and Italian labels.
