Rock n Roll All-dayer this Saturday (22nd)

HUMAN ERROR PRESENTS:
Button Up Your Overcoat
An evening of garage rock n' roll, with, Madame Cats, Lot Lizards, Atomic Suplex, Lasky and Squirrel Skin Slippers.

MADAME CATS
Madame Cats are a quartet of Japanese girls playing kinetic garage rock'n'roll. Come see the singer splayed out on the floor, legs in the air, flashing stockings and screaming blue murder, whilst her band laconicaly sway and bash in some sort of a prosac induced trance. Do not miss their cover of Wooly Bully! And please, if you can speak Japanese, let us know what they are going on about because we have not got a clue.

LOT LIZARDS
The Lot Lizards pedal a powerhouse of stripped garage scuzz, falling between the Mummies, Black Flag and Pussy Galore. Now an established act among the raw blues elite after playing with the likes of Black Time, the Masonics and the Hip Priests, GG Cicciolina (ex Kill, Kill, Kill) and Meg Slim are drenched in punk innovation. And Meg is the nicest drummer we have ever e-mailed.

ATOMIC SUPLEX
Atomic Suplex are fucking legends! This is what people say about them.

'Almighty... Atomic Suplex dispense with the formalities (read: the tune) altogether, preferring to unleash one and a half minutes of pure offensive distortion. Both these bands are rare things of beauty – and deserve your ass for dinner'. - Artrocker

"I don't know anything about this band" - Mark Lamarr - Gods Jukebox BBC Radio2

Screaming, overdriven rock n roll compression at it’s best. Atomic Suplex are the British Guitar Wolf, the English Lightning Bolt or maybe the London New York Dolls. - The Devil Has the Bet Tuna

Totally awesome split-single! The ATOMIC SUPLEX deliver an Garage-Punk smasher in an incredibly noisy and crushing sound, that makes bands like the DWARVES or GUITAR WOLF look like neat Pop-bands... - X-MIST Germany
“This is probably what Bill Haley sounds like if you have the worst tinnitus in the world. Not so much a sonic cathedral as a sonic corrugated iron shed.” - Time out

LASKY
With their own unique mix of punk, psych and garage rock, Lasky have been performing in and around the London area for the past Two years. Mixing melody and aggression to create energetic, overdriven rock and roll, they've entertained audiences at such venues as The Water Rats, Hope & Anchor and The Bull & Gate. As well as being regulars at the Rhythm Factory, Whitechapel, they've supported the likes of Pete Doherty, The Early Years and The Draytones.

SQUIRREL SKIN SLIPPERS
The Squirrel Skin Slippers are a rough n tumble Mr & Mrs originating from the bone-rattling mythical antipodes of New Zealand. Their metamorphosis from two wild little animals into a gut punchin garage music beast started back in ‘06 when they began smashing pot lids together and howling like a drunk mule. Ever since this violent pupation and hatching took place, they have continued to howl and gnash in venues in London, New York, and New Zealand – and supported for bands such as The Guillotines, Schwab, Honkey Finger, The Fucks, Joana & the Wolf, Labretta Suede & the Motel 6, and The Sticks.
Like their marriage, the Squirrel Skin Slippers music is as straight talkin as it gets. Their sound is like a primal, foot stomping, eye squinting, amped up yet stripped down blend of illegal liquor, with earty undertones, hints of fruitiness, and subtle infusions of John Lee Hooker, Billy Childish, Link Wray, and the Trashmen.
Their music is stitched together from the beaten skins of old deep south dirty blues, DIY garage music, folk noir and 60's punk and garage spirit. This new and unpredictable creature is then brought to life with their own fuzzed-up experimental style and served with a (friendly) snarl!
