Introduction

An Anglo-Swedish rock'n'roll trio based in Malmo, Sweden, The Branded formed just a a year ago (after the bassist from Thee Exciters found himself distanced from his fellow band members in a foreign country). They headed to the recording studio within a month and recorded a few tracks using vintage amps, drums and guitars to get that real raucous garage/R&B sound. The first gig was at club Mau Mau in Copenhagen on 2 December 2006. Despite being a little ragged the gig was a great success, and since then band have been all across Sweden, Norway and Denmark as well as playing a couple of dates in London during their first 12 months. Their second single, "You Got The Hurt", is out now on Dirty Water Records and an album will follow soon.
