Introduction
"One morning, Lani Ford's in a simple black blazer, smiling through the traffic report on WNYW Channel 5's 'Good Day New York'. Another night, in a t-shirt that screams 'F*** Y'All, I'm From Texas', she heads to Brooklyn to play bass and sing of lost girls and bad boys with her rock band Stark," we are told by the New York Daily News. Lani is one of those girls you want to take home after the gig but you're afraid she might write a song about you. On stage she laughs, cries, hollers, wiggles, writhes, smokes, drinks, passes out sweets, all the while rocking out and singing her ass off. Josette on guitar, her wild hair flowing and blowing around like a wild woman, supports Lani, antagonizes her, leads her deeper into her frenzy while playing kick-ass leads that make your jaw drop. In the meantime, Rob is rockin' out on the drums with a big smile and a solid star, like he might barrel over the drum kit and start dancing amongst the sweaty, sexed-up, drunken audience. They have one hell of an in-your-face rock'n'roll show. Their latest LP, "Put It To Your Head", is a mixture of punk rock, with nuggets of Texas alt-country dropped in here and there, along with hints of Blondie, but chock-full of New York attitude.
