Cannibals

Introduction

Led by Brooklyn native Mike Spenser, The Cannibals started out in 1978, with a trashy take on sixties garage punk and have continued to this day. They have played with the likes of the Cramps, the Heartbreakers, Bo Diddley, the Barracudas and the Nomads, and one of their 45s was found to be in John Peel’s box of essential singles. The Cannibals retain the same chaotic, unpredictable and volatile approach to their music - essentially a mixture of classic sixties and seventies garage punk along with their own self-penned numbers. With his Trash Can radio show on Resonance FM every Wednesday evening Mike tirelessly supports rock'n'roll and with his band he refuse to go away without blowing people’s minds one more time.
